Terms of Service for Video Background Tools

These terms cover your use of RemoveVideoBG at removevideobg.net, a web service that removes backgrounds from videos.

Who we are: RemoveVideoBG runs the service, and you can reach us through the contact page. See About these terms.
Your videos and results: you keep your rights, we do not claim ownership of your uploads or results, and we process your files only to run the service. See Your content and results.
Credits: new accounts get welcome credits, signed-in accounts get daily credits, and invitations earn credits. These free credits expire, and paid credits do not. See Credits, rewards and payments.
Subscriptions: they renew until you cancel, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you paid for. See Credits, rewards and payments.
Refunds and failed jobs: credits held for a job that fails are returned automatically, and credit purchases are final. See Refunds and failed jobs.
What is not allowed: uploading content you have no right to use, abusing rewards or limits, and attacking the service. See Acceptable use.
Suspension: we can suspend an account that breaks these terms, and you can delete yours at any time. See Suspension and ending your account.

These terms are the agreement between you and RemoveVideoBG for using removevideobg.net and its tools, and when you create an account and continue, you accept them. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean RemoveVideoBG.

The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle data and cookies, and they are part of how the service works. Pricing, credit rates and plan details are on the pricing page.

The service and its limits

RemoveVideoBG removes the background from a video you upload and gives you the result for download. This section describes what the service supports and where it has limits.

Files: you can upload MP4, MOV or WebM video up to 100 MB. Some tool pages also accept GIF or still images.
Length and size: Basic and Pro handle clips up to 180 seconds and Ultra up to 60 seconds. Basic works up to 1080p and Pro and Ultra up to 4K.
Output: every tier produces a transparent WebM. Ultra can also export MP4 or MOV with a solid background.
Cloud processing: videos are processed in the cloud by a third-party AI provider, so the service depends on that provider and on our other infrastructure vendors. The Privacy Policy explains what the provider receives.
Shared capacity: processing that uses free credits draws on shared daily capacity for the whole site. When that capacity is used up, a free-credit submission can be declined until it resets.
Rate limits: we limit how often uploads and requests can be made, to keep the service available to everyone.
Results from AI: AI models can leave imperfect edges or miss fine detail, particularly in complex footage, so check each result before you rely on it.
Changes: we may add, change or retire features, tiers and tools over time.

Your account

You can sign up with Google or with an email address and password, and your email address must be verified before you can sign in.

Give accurate information, and keep your password to yourself. Passwords are 15 to 128 characters long.
Temporary (disposable) email domains are not accepted at sign-up.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has access to it, tell us through the contact page.
Adding a password to an existing Google account keeps the same account and balance.
You can delete your account yourself in Security settings. The Privacy Policy explains what is removed and what is kept.

Your content and results

You keep whatever rights you have in the videos and images you upload. You also own the results RemoveVideoBG produces from them, to the extent permitted by applicable law and subject to the rights of anyone whose material appears in your upload. You can use your results commercially, and we do not claim ownership of your uploads or of the results made from them.

Your responsibility: you confirm that you own what you upload or have permission to use it, including any music, footage and people's likenesses in it. You are responsible for your uploads and for how you use the results.
What you allow us to do: you give us permission to process, store and display your content to you, and to look at it when needed to fix a problem or keep the service secure, only so we can provide the service. Processing includes sending the source video to our AI provider.
What we do not do: we do not publish or sell your uploads or results, and we do not use them to train our own models.
Where results live: results stay in your account for as long as it exists, and only your signed-in account can download them. Source videos are removed by a daily cleanup. The Privacy Policy has the details.

Acceptable use

Use RemoveVideoBG lawfully and fairly, and do not do any of the following:

Upload content you have no right to use, or content that is unlawful or infringes other people's rights.
Use the service in a way that harms others or breaks the law.
Claim rewards through automation, bulk or repeated sign-ups, or any other way of getting around the reward rules.
Get around limits, credit charges, rate limits or security measures.
Try to reach servers, accounts or data that are not yours.
Upload or distribute malware or other harmful code.
Interfere with the service or with anyone else's use of it.

Credits, rewards and payments

RemoveVideoBG charges for processing in credits, and you get credits through free rewards or by paying. Each job costs credits based on its duration (rounded up to whole seconds) and the tier you choose, and the total is shown before you start. The rates are on the pricing page.

Credits	How you get them	When they expire
Welcome credits	50 credits once your email is verified and the account is activated.	30 days after they are issued.
Daily credits	25 credits each UTC day you open the site while signed in with a verified account, added automatically.	At the next UTC midnight.
Invitation credits	50 credits each for the person who invites and the person who is invited, after a valid redemption.	30 days after redemption.
Paid credits	Credit packs and monthly or yearly subscriptions.	Never. They stay usable after you cancel a subscription.

Free rewards:

Free rewards cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
Welcome credits are issued once per account. We give one welcome reward per browser every 90 days, and if you delete an account and sign up again with the same email address within 90 days, the new account may not receive them. Some sign-ups are sent for manual review.
Daily rewards are limited to one account per browser per day. They also draw on a shared site-wide daily quota, and when it is used up the reward is unavailable until the next UTC day.
An invited account must redeem within 72 hours of being created, each inviter can earn rewards for up to 10 successful invitations, and the invited person's credits come on top of their welcome credits.
Self-invitations, repeated redemptions, shared devices or mailboxes and abnormal network patterns can be declined, and we do not say which signal caused it. Automated checks can also delay a reward.

Payments:

Prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe, and card details go to Stripe rather than to us.
Subscriptions can be monthly or yearly and renew each period until you cancel. Yearly plans release their credits monthly, in 12 installments, rather than all at once.
You can cancel in your Billing page. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, and paid credits stay usable.
Upgrading a plan takes effect immediately, and the billing page shows the estimated charge before you confirm.
Credit purchases are final. See Refunds and failed jobs for when credits are returned. If a payment is refunded or disputed with your bank, we may remove the unused credits that came with it.

Refunds and failed jobs

When you submit a job, credits for its cost are held, and if the job fails the held credits are returned to your balance automatically. You do not need to ask.

Credit purchases are final, and we do not offer cash refunds. If a result comes out wrong because of a problem on our side, contact us through the contact page, and once we verify it, we refund the credits that were used.

Suspension and ending your account

You can stop using RemoveVideoBG at any time, and you can delete your account in Security settings.

We may suspend or end access to an account that breaks these terms, abuses the rewards or limits, or puts the service or other people at risk. A suspended account cannot sign in. If you think a suspension is a mistake, write to us through the contact page.

Our content, disclaimers and liability

The RemoveVideoBG website, software, text, design and name belong to us or our licensors, and these terms give you no rights in them beyond using the service as described here.

The service and its results are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work to keep the service running, but we cannot promise that it will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, or that results will meet your needs. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, we post the new version on this page and change the date. This version rewrites the terms in plainer language: it clarifies what you allow us to do with your uploads and results, and adds the rules for credits, rewards, payments, refunds and failed jobs.
